Dan Locicero
WWII | 263rd Infantry Regiment, 66th Infantry Division
He was the only man in sick bay on Thanksgiving as the troop transport crossed the Atlantic. Hit with strong seasickness, Dan Locicero got turkey soup instead of the real deal. His luck changed for the better when it came time to cross the English Channel. He was not on the ill-fated SS Leopoldville, on which 800 men from his unit perished due to a German torpedo.
