COMBAT STORIES FROM World War II

Ken Faulkner | C Company, 137th Infantry Regiment, 35th Infantry Division - Army

7:06   |   SGT Ken Faulkner never asked anyone else to lead. It was, "Follow me," and they always did. In hedgerow country, the Germans made him mad when they shot up his cigars, then they sent him to a hospital in England with an 88mm gun, "the best weapon in the war on either team." He returned to lead his platoon as they pushed across France.
